Multiplier Events

The PRO.D.I.G.Y Multiplier Event in Athens, held on October 16, 2024, was a significant gathering aimed at promoting the results of the project. Organized by SIGMA BUSINESS NETWORK and REALISCAPE at SIGMA’s headquarters on Syntagmatarchou Davaki Street in Athens, Greece, the event brought together a diverse group of stakeholders, including professionals from various sectors. The event featured insightful presentations that highlighted the significance of the project results, the importance of inclusive practices and the need for proactive measures to ensure that emergency responses consider the needs of individuals with disabilities. The discussions and exchange of ideas among participants not only fostered a deeper understanding of the challenges faced but also paved the way for the project’s innovative solutions to emerge, strengthening the commitment to creating a more inclusive work environment for all.
On November 27, 2024, the final conference of the PRODIGY project was held in Ostrava, Czech Republic. The event was organized by Handy Club Ostrava, z.s., with the support of the Czech National Disability Council. The conference, titled “”Employment of People with Disabilities in the Context of Workplace Safety,”” addressed key issues surrounding disability employment, workplace safety and inclusion of people with disabilities into companies‘ emergency plans.
The conference was hosted at the premises of the Moravian-Silesian Region, featuring valuable contributions from key Czech partners, including the Czech National Disability Council, the Czech Labour Office, and social enterprise Spirála z.s., who showcased their initiatives aligned with the conference theme. Additionally, international project partners from Poland (SAN, FRAME), Greece (SIGMA, Realiscape), Italy (PRISM), and Cyprus (EUGENE) shared their experiences and insights into the implementation and outcomes of the project across Europe.
The event was attended by 42 participants, comprising organizers, representatives of partner organizations, and other stakeholders. It was conducted bilingually, with the opening session delivered in Czech and simultaneously interpreted into English, and the second session conducted in English with simultaneous interpretation into Czech.
On Saturday, November 30, 2024, PRISM Impresa Sociale hosted inSan Cataldo (CL) the Italian Multiplier Event for the PRO.D.I.G.Y(Promoting Disability Inclusion in Emergency Response in the Worldof Work) project. The event gathered 30 participants, includingstakeholders, professionals, and community members committed topromoting of both inclusivity in the workplace and the developmentof inclusive practices related to Emergency Response.Key discussions included the importance and the effectiveness ofProject results developed by the Partneship —and outlining nextsteps for implementing the project’s findings in practical settings.Attendees also had the opportunity to network and exchange ideasduring a convivial moment at the end of the Event, marking theconclusion of it. This gathering not only celebrated the success ofthe PRO.D.I.G.Y project but also underscored the importance offostering a more inclusive society through collaborative efforts.The event demonstrated the critical role of projects like PRO.D.I.G.Yin reshaping emergency response strategies and workplacepractices to embrace diversity and accessibility, creating a moreequitable future for all.

This gathering represented a pivotal moment in the pursuit ofimproved emergency preparedness approaches and strategies, setting thestage for further innovation and collaboration in the field.A central highlight of the event was a detailed presentation outlining theoverarching goals and notable achievements of the PRODIGY project. Particularattention was given to the groundbreaking integration of Virtual Reality (VR)technology within its training frameworks. This approach has been developedto offer immersive, hands-on learning experiences that revolutionize emergencytraining. Attendees were also introduced to progressive research anddevelopment initiatives aimed at fostering greater inclusion of individuals withdisabilities in emergency preparedness programs, ensuring that their uniqueneeds and perspectives are considered at every stage of the training process.Following the presentation, the event transitioned into a dynamic and highlyinteractive discussion session. Participants actively exchanged technicalinsights, shared their professional experiences, and proposed innovativestrategies to enhance the dissemination and practical application of theproject’s results. Much of the discussion centered on how PRODIGY’s outputscould be effectively adapted to corporate environments, with a focus onfostering inclusivity and accessibility. The event underscored the vitalimportance of collaboration across disciplines, emphasizing how different areasof expertise can come together to drive meaningful progress in emergencyreadiness.
On October 24th, the PRODIGY Multiplier Event brought together experts and stakeholders at Shiambelos Restaurant in Limassol. This gathering was a significant step forward in enhancing emergency preparedness methodologies.
The event showcased a comprehensive presentation of the PRODIGY project’s goals and accomplishments, with a particular emphasis on its training methods that utilise Virtual Reality (VR) exercises. Participants were introduced to innovative research and development initiatives aimed at improving the inclusion of individuals with disabilities in emergency training practices.
After the informative session, attendees engaged in a lively discussion. The conversation was filled with technical insights and collaborative ideas focused on effectively disseminating and applying the outputs of the PRODIGY project in corporate settings. The event highlighted the importance of multi-disciplinary collaboration in driving innovation in emergency preparedness. Participants expressed a strong commitment to continue their involvement with the PRODIGY project, with the goal of enhancing the inclusion of disabled individuals in emergency preparedness training programs.

On November 23rd, FRAME organized a promotional event about the PRODIGY project. Itt was held in Poddębice, a town ca 30 km out of Lodz, in Central Poland. The event took place in Educational Center PRYMUS. There were representants of many different organziations: governmental, NGO as well as many social workers, dealing with people with disabilities.
The event was divided into two main parts: first was devoted to the project and had more informative character, conducted as a lecture: the presentation was shown; the second part was more discussional, where the participants had an opportunity to give the feedback on the Project.
